ABOUT
William "Billy" Baker...
I began playing drums in church at age 9 with my dad Eugene Baker who was an accomplished keyboard player and studio engineer. During my high school years I continued playing in church as well as doing social gigs and recording sessions. I went on to attend Florida Community College performing with the jazz big band, ensambles and student recitals. During this time I also began teaching drum lessons. As I progressed I gained valuable experience performing with many talented musicians and bands throughout the region doing various styles in all types of situations. Eventually having the good fortune to tour and record nationally with several renowned musicians and groups.
I've been blessed to play drums and develope great friendships in all kinds of amazing musical & fun situations...
I've enjoyed all my experiences as a drummer. I believe a strong foundation in the fundamentals builds a great musician! Ultimately my passion is creating and performing quality music and inspiring students.
When you take lessons from me I teach you what you like to learn so you will progress and most importantly, have fun...😁
